Quartet ("we", "our", "us")

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using Quartet, including our website, dashboard, connected-app integrations, or automation features, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the service. If you use Quartet on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. What Quartet Is

Quartet provides pull request review and automation tools for software teams. Quartet may review, comment on, update, or merge pull requests according to your configuration and permissions.

Quartet is an independent third-party tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially supported by any third-party platform unless expressly stated in writing.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind your organization to these terms. By installing or enabling Quartet, you represent that you have the necessary permissions to grant access to the selected accounts, repositories, or resources.

4. Organization Administrator Responsibilities

Organization administrators who install Quartet bear full responsibility for:

Quartet reviews code as instructed by its configuration. We are not responsible for the consequences of merging code that Quartet approved.

Quartet is provided on a best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee:

Unplanned outages caused by third-party platform or provider changes are outside our control.

8. Data and Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your source code and repository content. Quartet processes repository and pull request content only as needed to provide the service and does not claim ownership of your code. Quartet may retain operational metadata needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, or audit the service.

Quartet's name, design, and all associated software remain our property. No part of the service may be reproduced or redistributed for commercial purposes without written permission.

9. Disclaimers

QUARTET IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We are not liable for bugs introduced by merged pull requests, missed vulnerabilities or defects, or any consequence arising from reliance on automated review or automation output.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Quartet's total liability for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. Where Quartet is provided free of charge, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access at any time for violation of these terms or abusive use. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling or disabling Quartet. To request deletion of associated data, contact privacy@quartet.tools.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or platform policies. Material changes will be posted at quartet.tools/terms with an updated effective date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Santa Clara County, California.
